Louis, Lestat and Armand, from Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. I saw Interview With The Vampire last weekend and am up to The Vampire Lestat in the books, so I thought it was about time to do some Vampy fanart. ^^ Much as I love Antonio Banderas, and though he played the character perfectly, this is how Armand is SUPPOSED to look!!! ^^ Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt were perfect though.... Ah Tom, Brad.... You can drink my blood anytime. Kirsten Dunst, you were great too, but BACK OFF!!!
contrast what you "thought" that armand looks like with what he looks like in the queen of the damned - i think he looks right weird (hes the one that akasha burns but then he regains himself and lives)
as for this pic ok i like it but i think the characters do not have their vampy appeal
im just finishing reading the queen of the damned and am going to move onto the next book in the series.
interview with the vampire **louis**, vampire lestat, queen of the damned, body thief, memnoch the devil, vampire armand**armand**, merrick,blood and gold **marius!!** blackwood farm, blood canticle. then i will go onto the other ones pandora and vittorio
Ah, what an exquisite trio. Louis looks quite unsure about what to do. I've read through Blood and Gold, and trust me the books only get more strange as you go. In my opinion the first four were the best.
Anyway, this is a fun, whimsical picture. I like it a lot! Lestat looks particularly good. Very devious.

What happens once in a minute, twice in a moment, and never in a thousand years?
Yeah, I'm not used to drawing vampires.... I meant the focus to be almost parodying their blatant love for everything (especially Louis)
I KNOW!! It WAS Armand!!! He was so odd.... _ _;;; I tried to tell myself it wasn't him.... They got the hair/eyes right, but that FACE!!! No offence to the guy who played him.... But.... OMG!! Armand's supposed to be gorgeous!! ;__;
I am such a slow reader, I started Interview ages ago, it's taken me months to get to the middle of Lestat. _ _;;;
No no no! I loved it. Purely for the atmosphere and costumes... and I think Brad Pitt and Tom cruise are cute.... But I guess they couldn't get someone that young to be Claudia, especially with all the nudity...
Queen of the Damned spacked up the storyline, basically taking the characters and changing basically everything. _ _;;; But Lestat looked like my ex-boyfriend so it's OK! ^^
Thankyou for your rambling, it is much appreciated! YAY! Comments!!!
Ah thankyou... T___T I was so surprised to get these comments so fast...
I have to say I'm looking foward to TRhe Vampire Armand, it appears quite risque (just how I like it)
Thankyou, I thought Lestat looked the worst, it's very encouraging. ^^
I'd say The Vampire Armand is indeed one of the more risque books. It was a little much for my taste, though I do so enjoy Armand. I was also quite disappointed that Antonio Banderas didn't look right...he played Armand wonderfully, but he just...wasn't....Armand...

i dont care if they ruined it i love the queen of the damned especially the start, there comes a time in everyvampires life when the idea of liveing forever becomes momentarily unbearable
there nudity? ok...didnt know that. which guy? or is it ickle claudia herself?
queen of the damned the book is so much better the film has left out so much
-louis, pandora *well until the final bit where she is killed* - shes the dark haired on who played aaron in farscape. gabrielle,mael,khayman-ok hes in it but only in the final minute or so, armand and his first child danniel *interviewer from interview with the vamp*. maharet and mekare and the tale of how vampires were made etc
Queen of the Damned the film?
i loved the book, undeniably brilliant and akasha, pandora, eric, louis, maharet, they were all so fantastic to read. Having them all packed into one book made it a thriller of a book. But the film? i almost choked from laughing at armand in that and they fucked up the plot. REAL bad.
im on the vampire armand, and yes Jez, if risque is what you want you'll like it.
And i take full credit for anything to do with vampires you create. After all, without me you would nt know anything! But please, keep drawin'!

Walking that thin line between genius and insanity.
I know what you mean.... I especially love the nylon black hair that domes above his head and fell down to his knees. _ _;;; Poor Antonio.... He did play it well though, I agree. ;;
